Retracing Footsteps Exhibition talk

4 July @ 7.00pm - 9.00pm

Cian Quayle, Daniel Bos and Alan Summers will introduce the different facets of their collaboration and exhibition Retracing Footsteps – The Changing Landscape of Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon, based on 19th century summit hotel visitor books in which the tourists of the day recorded their experiences.

The exhibition is on display in Gallery Two at the Grosvenor Museum from the 15th June and includes paintings and drawings from the Grosvenor Museum collection, alongside extracts from the visitor books and photographs, which respond to the landscape and mountain as it is encountered today. This talk is part of the University of Chester’s Festival of Ideas.
