Festival for the Future: Sustainability Festival

23 July @ 10.30am - 5.00pm

Join us for a jam-packed day of sustainability and climate action!
Come and meet our Earth Giant friends, support local sellers at our sustainable craft fair, and enjoy a full day of eco-friendly activities, workshops, and events. An immersive, Augmented Reality exhibition will reveal the visible and unseen impacts of the ‘plastic pandemic’, forecasting what the world might look like in 25 years’ time, and showing how small changes really can make a difference.
Barnton Circus will be performing incredible aerial responses to the climate crisis, inspired by West Cheshire Museums’ collections. Visitors of all ages are welcome to have a go at mastering circus skills in workshops throughout the day (drop-in, no booking necessary). Don’t forget to call in at nearby Weaver Hall Museum for more festival programmes!
All events are free, no booking necessary. Museum entry fees will also be waived for one day only.

Inspired by #PlasticFreeJuly, Festival for the Future is a month-long, community-driven celebration of sustainability and climate initiatives spanning all four museum sites. Co-curated by community members, local organisations and sustainability groups, it combines education around sustainability and climate issues with creative responses, and gives local people a platform for sharing their work.
