Festival for the Future: Climate Ceilidh

30 July

4:00PM-6:00PM and 7:30PM-9:30PM
How will climate change affect West Cheshire? And what can we do about it locally? Join us for a knees-up ceilidh with the award-winning Science Ceilidh band. All the dances you know and love, plus the chance to learn bespoke, climate-themed dances responding to these very questions. Perfect for families and first-timers, and there’ll be snacks and a fully-stocked bar available. We recommend everyone wear comfortable shoes for dancing!
There is no admission fee for the event, but spaces are limited, and booking is essential. Call the Lion Salt Works on 01606 275066 for tickets. Please only book onto one event.
If you have any access requirements, please just let us know.
To mitigate the COVID risk, sanitising stations will be available, and the room will be ventilated as much as possible. Visitors are welcome to use the play area and outdoor spaces during the event. We ask that guests refrain from attending if they are symptomatic and let us know of any cancellations.
Inspired by #PlasticFreeJuly, Festival for the Future is a month-long, community-driven celebration of sustainability and climate initiatives spanning all four museum sites. Co-curated by community members, local organisations and sustainability groups, it combines education around sustainability and climate issues with creative responses, and gives local people a platform for sharing their work.
