The story of fashion is all about how people embraced the times, altering their fashion depending on wars, recessions and pandemics to suit the materials that were readily available.
The multi award-winning Lion Salt Works Museum in Northwich will be taking a fresh look at bridal dresses through the decades using stunning photographs of some of the Grosvenor Museum’s historic wedding dresses collection.
At the same time, its sister museum, the Grosvenor Museum, will be exploring the inspiration behind the historic designs of its Costume Collection, in a free, fascinating ‘Curated Closet’ exhibition. A fun fashion ‘catwalk’ will display clothes, jewellery and accessories from the 20th century from its collection of over 3000 items.
