Meet at Chester Railway Station main entrance

Booking essential at Chester History & Heritage 01244 972210.
On 1 August 1847 the foundation stone for our impressive railway station was laid. It was designed by Francis Thompson and built by the great Cheshire-born railway engineer Thomas Brassey. Now, 170 years later, join railway historian John Whittingham for this guided walk and talk about the plans and the work involved.
