Minted: Making Money and Meaning

9 December 2017 - 4 March 2018

Coin Gallery
The Grosvenor Museum has an amazing money collection containing coins, tokens, jettons and paper money. It not only charts the history of people’s interaction with wealth, but documents political issues, cultural attachments and even fashion. This small exhibition looks at how money was made, how it was used by those who created it, and what it meant to the people who owned it.
